Los ingleses intentan silenciar a nuestra artiller\u00eda y, una vez mas toda la posici\u00f3n se
ve sometido a un fuego de contrabateria muy fuerte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uno de los proyectiles hace impacto en un deposito de munici\u00f3n pr\u00f3ximo a la bater\u00eda \u00abA\u00bb, ello origina un principio de incendio que, de extenderse, puede hacer volar todo
el emplazamiento. No obstante, el fuego sostenido de los ingleses aplasta a todos, obligandolos a permanecer en sus refugios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se observa una silueta que sale de un pozo de zorro y se dirige caminando, en
pleno ca\u00f1oneo, hacia el deposito incendiado. Una vez all\u00ed aparta los cajones que
arden, los arroja a un pozo e impide que el fuego se extienda. Cumpliendo con su cometido regresa a su refugio, donde su Jefe de Bater\u00eda lo abraza y le recrimina por haberse expuesto por propia iniciativa. Ante ello el soldado Wuldrich, oriundo de la ciudad de Junin exclam\u00f3 \u00abhab\u00eda que apagarlo mi teniente primero\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
